About Me

My Process

My instructional design process starts with a needs analysis, which is a critical first step to identify the specific performance or learning problem that needs to be addressed. By conducting a thorough needs analysis, I can identify the root cause of the problem, assess the learners' needs, and understand the context and constraints of the learning environment.

Once I have a clear understanding of the problem, I then move on to identifying the major learning and performance goals. This helps to ensure that your training program is aligned with the organization's overall objectives and goals. Breaking down the goals into specific learning and performance objectives helps to clarify what learners should be able to do or know after completing the training.

Next, I evaluate both the learner's and the organizations needs and limitations, as well as any challenges or obstacles that might impact their learning or their learning environment. This helps to ensure that the training program is designed to meet the specific needs of the learners and address any barriers that may impede their learning.

With a clear understanding of the learning and performance goals, learner needs, and limitations, I then select the most effective instructional design model or tool to meet those goals. This might involve selecting a specific technology, delivery method, or approach to learning that is tailored to the learners' needs and the organization's goals.

Before designing the learning experience, I develop an outline of the assessment and measurement plan, which outlines how I will measure the effectiveness of the training program. This helps to ensure that the program is designed with evaluation in mind, and that the results can be used to continuously improve the program.

Finally, stakeholders are involved throughout the design and development process to ensure that the training program meets their needs and objectives. The learning experiences are then delivered and evaluated using the steps of the Kirkpatrick model, which assesses the effectiveness of the training program on multiple levels, from reaction to results.

Overall, my instructional design process  is grounded in a needs-based approach that emphasizes the importance of understanding the specific problem, learner needs, and context before designing and developing the training program. By taking this comprehensive approach, I can ensure that the training program is effective, relevant, and tailored to the needs of the learners and the organization.
